How to borrow a network license in Revit

Customers with active contracts for network licensed autodeks products can borrow the license from therr server and then disconnect from the network for upto 6 months.
For autocad users, it's relatively easy to do as you just enter BORROWLICENSE on the commandline.
In Revit though, there is no commandline , so how do you borrow a license ?
Watch below.
Note that for AEC collection license, if you want both AutoCAD and Revit to work when disconnected from the server you will need to borrow a license for both products.

Vault appears to hang after switching to working from home

After switching to working from home, or disconnecting a monitor, the Vault dialog windows do not appear and the software appears to hang or freeze.

To get the dialog window back on the screen, use one of the following methods:
  1. In Windows 10, use the keyboard combination "Windows logo + Shift + Arrow right/left" to move the dialog box back to the screen. Once on screen, the dialog box can be maximized by using "Windows + Arrow Keys".
  2. In older Windows versions, use the "Alt+spacebar" method to bring it back onto the screen:
    1. Press Alt+spacebar.
    2. Press key ("M" for move).
    3. Press right or left arrow key.
    4. Move the mouse.
  3. The name of the file that stores the location of the dialog windows is called "DialogLocations.xml". The location of this file will depend on the software being used. For example,
  • if using...
  1. The thick Vault client, the file will be located in this location %APPDATA%\Autodesk\Autodesk Vault Professional 2020\Objects.
  2. Inventor, the file will be located in this folder %APPDATA%\Autodesk\Inventor 20xx Vault Addin\Objects.
  3. AutoCAD = %APPDATA%\Autodesk\AutoCAD 20xx Vault Addin\Objects.
  4. Revit = %APPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit 2020 Vault Addin\Objects.
  • Locate the above mentioned "DialogLocations.xml". and delete it. Restart the software.
