To get the dialog window back on the screen, use one of the following methods:
- In Windows 10, use the keyboard combination "Windows logo + Shift + Arrow right/left" to move the dialog box back to the screen. Once on screen, the dialog box can be maximized by using "Windows + Arrow Keys".
- In older Windows versions, use the "Alt+spacebar" method to bring it back onto the screen:
- Press Alt+spacebar.
- Press M key ("M" for move).
- Press right or left arrow key.
- Move the mouse.
- The name of the file that stores the location of the dialog windows is called "DialogLocations.xml". The location of this file will depend on the software being used. For example,
- if using...
- The thick Vault client, the file will be located in this location %APPDATA%\Autodesk\Autodesk Vault Professional 2020\Objects.
- Inventor, the file will be located in this folder %APPDATA%\Autodesk\Inventor 20xx Vault Addin\Objects.
- AutoCAD = %APPDATA%\Autodesk\AutoCAD 20xx Vault Addin\Objects.
- Revit = %APPDATA%\Autodesk\Revit 2020 Vault Addin\Objects.
- Locate the above mentioned "DialogLocations.xml". and delete it. Restart the software.
